    Cocina fácil de autoconstruir con materiales accesibles y / o reciclados, consistente en un reflector realizado en cartón que se sostiene por sí mismo y una ventana de plástico que acumula el calor reflejado. Se monta y desmonta gracias a la utilización de gomas elásticas de quita y pon que unen las diferentes partes de la cocina. Es una cocina lenta y adecuada para pequeñas cantidades de comida.

    Copenhagen Solar Cooker Light

    The Copenhagen Solar Cooker Light is a small, compact, inexpensive solar panel cooker made from durable, reflective vinyl covered panels. The cooker comes in an easily assembled kit, containing four flexible vinyl panels, clips and base plate. The panels bolt to the base plate, and clip to each other to create the panel cooker shape.

    This is a small tent type distillator suitable to provide drinking water for a two or more members family, if good radiation conditions are given. It operates in batch mode, this is to say that the water enters the system, it is distilled, and then the device is cleaned (not allowing the salts residues dry), before the new water comes in.
    It has a modular design so different distillators may be connected. This family size distillator is offered by the company NMSS(PTY) LTD, based in South-Africa.

    This solar cooker is an alternative to the box solar cooker. The difference is that the design allows the cooker to be folded easily. It can be transported in a small case.

    A small solar cooker, designed for a production in large quantities. The authors tried to find materials that could be easily available in every country. It's a light solar oven, easy to move and store, with a cooking capacity of 5 to 6 litres of food, enough to feed a whole family.

    The design has a great open area that compensates the lack of external reflectors, which would be a problem in strong wind conditions.

    Synopsis REM5 and T16

    These two models, REM5 and T16, are proposals from SYNOPSIS, a research group with several projects about solar boiling at world scale.

    REM5 is a solar cooker box with a cover of single pane glass, aluminium frame and a policarbonate box, with three exterior reflectors. This model has been developed to be used and fabricated during cooperation projects in developing countries. Because its fabrication required patience and habilities with tools, they developed another solar cooker, the T16, a version easier to reproduce.

    Solar Panel “Bernard”

    This design from Roger Bernard, is a portable solar cooker, very light and simple. It is made mainly doing some cuts in a rectangular cardboard box and lining it up with some reflecting material.
    The cooking recipient has to be black and incorporate some material to induce the greenhouse effect, such as a plastic bag or a glass bowl.

    Its size allows to cook small quantities of food, for one person.

    Double orientation panel

    The design of this solar cooker allows to have two orientations to use the sunlight in different latitudes, with a very simple system.
    It's made mainly with a cardboard sheet with dimensions of 1.2 x 0.9 m. It is one of the easiest solar cookers to make, as only is needed to add aluminium paper to the cardboard, and fold them as many times as necessary.

    It is a very small cooker, suitable to cook for only one person.

    Parvati solar cooker (double angle funnel)

    It's a light solar home-made cooker. Its design is based in the funnel cooker, trying to improve the angles of the reflector. The result is the funnel with double angle, that at first sight looks very similar to a parabolic solar cooker.
    There are two ways to make this cooker: using circular pieces or joining together twelve pieces side by side. This solar cooker performs a slow cooking that doesn't need too much attention.

    Funnel solar cooker

    A small and simple solar cooker that consists in a funnel formed used cardboard lined with aluminium paper. The cooking recipient is placed on the wooden base inside a plastic bag to create the greenhouse effect.
